Senior / Procurement Engineer (Optics)

Location: Singapore

Responsibilities:​​

• Supplier Management

  • Accountable for supplier selection and strategies alliance

  • Develop and manage relationship with all key suppliers

  • Conduct regular review on supplier’s quality and cost reduction target

  • Develop and implement vendor managed inventory program

  • Liaise with suppliers on all quality issues

• Product transfer and new product introduction

  • Lead procurement activities in product transfer and new product introduction

• Continuous improvement

  • Liaise with suppliers on quality improvement program

  • Drive continuous process improvement by measuring and analysing suppliers and process efficiency

• Procurement cost reduction

  • Develop and implement cost reduction activities

• Disposal of non-conforming or suspected non-conforming materials

  • Liaise with the necessary internal and external parties on the disposal of non-conforming materials

Requirements:​​

• Diploma / Degree in Opto-Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum 5 Years’ work experience in Engineering and Sourcing

• Minimum 5 Years’ work experience in a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment

• Minimum 3 Years' work experience in Optics industry

• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills

• Have experience in leading new product introduction

• SAP R/3
