Senior Staff Engineer - Analog IC Design

Perform the role of Technical Lead for new complex IC design projects.

Take charge of key Analog IP developments such as high voltage startup circuit with JFET or Depl-MOSFET, sigma-delta ADC, class AB driver, pulse/coreless transformer transceiver and DCDC converter (Boost, Buck, Buck-Boost, Charge-pump and etc) with emphasis on high voltage AC/DC applications.

Engage with System Application Team to establish design requirements and IP specifications, experienced in defining IC architecture, IC concepts and able to develop IC Design internal target specifications.

Perform comprehensive system-Level analysis and evaluation, detailed competitor analysis at IC design level, full-chip architecture design and modelling. Responsible for all activities ranging from architecture and design to silicon bring up and characterization.

Expert and hands on in Analog Mixed Signal IC Design, good knowledge in high voltage and high driving current design, ESD & Latch-up will be an added advantage.

Good knowledge in power semiconductors (SMPS) systems, technologies, topologies and applications.

Demonstrated leadership in IC design and ability to guide junior designers.

Able to provide effective technical SMPS IC support and advice across development teams and business partners.

Responsible in advising layouters on chip /IP layout for optimal performance and able to develop re-usable Analog IP.

Drive and deliver IC design-related documentations and design reviews.
Requirements:

Excellent Analog Mixed Signal IC Design knowledge min 10 years experience.

Proven expertise in SMPS IC design and in SMPS system topologies ( Flyback, CCM, DCM, PFC, LLC )

Advantage if candidate has past technical patents and publications in related area ( Analog Design / ACDC SMPS IC/Systems )

In-depth knowledge of ADCs, charge pumps, LDOs, drivers, HV-technology experience, oscillators.

Solid understanding in state of the art IC development flow/methodologies/tools.

Experienced in leading technical negotiations with external customers/internal experts.

Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills and debugging experience.
-
Strong teamplayer, detail, good communication and presentation skills at all levels, results-oriented, innovative, effective technical thought leadership
