REC Business Lead



The Renewable Energy Certificate Business Lead is responsible for leading the business strategy and commercial development of the Renewable Energy Certificate Platform. She/He is responsible for leading the business strategy and commercial development of the Renewable Energy Certificate Platform:


Business Strategy & Execution

  • Develop business strategy

  • Responsible for strategy and roadmap execution – work with internal and external stakeholders to drive execution plans.

  • Perform financial modelling and forecasting

  • Develop revenue and pricing models

  • Perform market research and landscape studies, including regular reviews of pricing models to ensure sustained competitiveness in the midst of evolving market conditions


 Certification & Registry Integration

  • Drive engagements with certification bodies and tracking registries

  • In-depth research and understanding of codes, standards and compliance requirements for various REC certification bodies and tracking registries

  • Responsible for attaining certifications / integrating certification standards and requirements into platform and process design


Product Strategy

  • Develop product vision, strategy and roadmap based on business strategy, market research and standard/code requirements

  • Define product features, requirements and prioritisation

  • Work closely with Product Owner and developers for product development



  • Work with Legal on all preparation and review of contracts/legal documentations

  • Manage public communications matters, including press releases and social media content

  • Work with Finance, Insurance & Risk to ensure that all processes are appropriately designed, with necessary mitigation/response measures in place



  • Degree in engineering, technology, or a related discipline

  • At least 7 years of relevant and proven track record in business strategy, new growth areas/ventures and/or innovation related work

  • Knowledge and experience in energy, renewables and REC industry is strongly preferred

  • Product management experience is strong preferred

  • Self-motivated, results-driven and strong entrepreneurial mindset

  • Strong project management, communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to cross multiple functions and management multiple stakeholders

  • Possess problem solving skills and teamwork

  • Fluent in English (both spoken and written)

  • Travel is required
