Staff Engineer, Field Application Engineering  


  • Work with Sales and Marketing team, secure design-in/design-win at key/focused customers, especially in Motor Drive/ Low Speed Electric Vehicle Charging /Switching Mode Power Supply in ASEAN & ANZ
    Select and recommend Infineon offerings related to selected focus applications and
    power system related product to customer engineers and explain trade-offs of each potential solution

  • Provide extensive 1st level technical customer support for selected focus applications or product families and manage customers’ technical questions.

  • Provide technical support (paper design, solution proposal and debugging) to customers and deliver application/product training to customers as well as local partners

  • Collect and feedback customer/application requirements to regional and global system/product application teams

  • Support local business development and partnership expanding for focused applications and product families


  • Bachelor Degrees/Master/Ph.D in Electronic & Electrical Engineering or similar areas

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in semiconductor or power electronics / motor drive industry

  • Experience in R&D positions for various power electronics technologies is preferred

  • Knowledge of power semiconductors, design of power converters as well as EMC and EMI test

  • Good knowledge for various power topologies and hardware development / hands-on experience

  • Knowledge of Brushless DC motor drive control algorithm and system knowhow is a plus

  • Fast learner and able to work under-pressure.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, active team worker.

  • Able to explain complex technical ideas to a variety of audiences. Written and verbal fluency in English is a must
