Regional General Manager

The GM will drive strategic growth and operations in the region. Responsibilities for the role include general management duties such as driving to an operating budget, supervising staff, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded, nurturing customer relationships, overseeing market research, and developing strategies.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

Leadership

  • Develop and execute on a vision and strategy to drive comprehensive multi-year revenue growth leveraging process solutions

  • Nurture long-term customer executive relationships aimed at driving revenue and share through strategic collaborations, technical engagements, and operations excellence

  • As part of organizational development, hire and develop world-class talent and enhance employee skills across all facets of the organization

Growth Driver

  • Leverage regional and headquarter resources to meet the business objectives and fiscal commitments related to the AOP (annual operating plan). The role requires successful collaborative relationships with Product Business Units, Marketing, Applications, and Service organizations.

  • Develop subsequent strategies to maximize business volume, win key customer selections and drive follow-on product adoption.

  • Understand customer inflections and timing, and jointly develop a strategy with the various BUs to drive growth.

  • Develop business/product strategies to maximize revenue, market share & ASP for the company.

  • Work with Business Unit VPs to penetrate new accounts, drive adoption, and put an infrastructure in place to support customer ramps.

  • Work with the VP of Service to establish a sustainable growth strategy for service sales and service organizational metrics

 

Operational Excellence

  • Drive overall productivity and effectiveness of Sales/Service/Applications organization.

  • As the senior management representative in Singapore, provide oversight of the operations including administrative duties related to facilities, accounting, and personnel.

  • Provide timely and accurate forecast submissions by field sales personnel.  Driving metric and processes to ensure that we deliver quality, efficiency and we are scalable.

  • Develop effective processes for key customer executive meetings, technical review meetings (TRMs) and operational reviews to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Understand and specify key customer issues/concerns accurately, then drive support resources to provide solutions effectively and maintain best customer satisfaction.

  • Drive all business issues, strategies, planning and reporting to management on key data points (i.e., customer intelligence, budgets, processes, and systems). 

  • Be responsible for your organization’s analysis, forecast and business intelligence is accurate, identifies gaps and has the foresight to see what is on the horizon.

  • Manage customer account pre/post sales activities from opportunity identified, forecast, spec/commercial negotiation, PO booking, installation, acceptance until AR collection.

  • In this role, you will be measured by Revenue growth year over year / Accuracy of forecast versus actuals / Margin protection / Customer satisfaction / Operation organization performance / Employees turn-over rate / Effectiveness in collaborating/leveraging Onto Innovation’s cross-functional teams.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years in semiconductor process or capital equipment business

  • 10 years in technical sales or marketing in a customer facing role.

  • Leadership experience including building and maintaining high performing teams.

  • Both broad and deep experience creating and implementing new processes or improving existing processes that drive revenue generation and efficiencies.

  • Detailed understanding and application of financial acumen.

  • Demonstration of effective cross-functional team collaboration and partnership.

  • Demonstrated ability to create a performance and metrics, focused team.

  • Demonstrated experience managing sales and/or Apps & Service and/or related headcount.

  • Periodic travel, as necessary

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science; MBA is a plus
