Head of Global Logistics and Trade Compliance (Senior Director)

Responsibilities

  • The Head of Global Logistics & Trade Compliance is responsible for the logistics strategy and execution, including trade compliance processes. The role is part of the Supply Chain Management organization and member of the SCM Management Team and Leadership Team. In this role the Head of GLTC will represent our client towards the external Logistics Vendors.

  • Manage and drive improvements in Global Logistics measured by KPI's (Cost, Service/Quality and compliance) through an effective execution of the logistics strategy on Network design, People, Regulatory compliance, Customer interface, Systems and processes and supplier management.

  • Lead a global team of Global Logistics and Trade Compliance experts.

  • Collect requirements from Businesses, Suppliers and external Customers on future system and process improvements in terms of warehousing and Distribution.

  • Drive cost down road map for Logistics cost while at the same time maintaining a high service level to internal and external customers.

  • Respond and identify opportunities to reduce risk and cost exposure in Trade Compliance.

  • Manage operations and disruptions (Business Continuity Process) to continue and support operations and sales.

  • Define, drive and implement Logistics Plateau as part of SAP Upgrade program.

  • Supervising/overseeing external and internal warehouses in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, The Philippines, UK and Germany

Requirements

  • Financial and operational problem solving and analysis

  • Project, Procurement and IT management

  • Knowledge of the professional SCM system landscapes and experience with ERP and/or planning systems (such as SAP (MM/PP/SD) and i2

  • Knowledge of Trade Compliance, Export Control and Supply Chain Security frameworks and certificates

  • Proven people management skills for local and remote / global teams

  • Business understanding

  • Result driven

  • Influencing people and building collaborative relationships

  • Continuous improvement behavior

  • Able to work in cross-functional and multi-cultural teams

  • Holds a Bachelor / Masters degree in Economics, Engineering, or other related discipline

  • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience
