Senior Staff Engineer - Industrial Engineering

The backend segments enable the development of comprehensive innovation across the entire value chain: starting with chip manufacturing, to wafer testing, preassembly, package development and development of new materials. The backend cluster combines the competencies for planning, productivity, innovation and quality, assembly and testing.

In your new role you will:

  • Develop, systemize and deploy optimized WIP flow Management approaches to drive 4M (Machines, Man, Material and Methods) synchronization and contribute to the Backend’s Year-on-Year productivity goal

  • Lead & standardize Backend wide production reporting & monitoring control system, and be the key interface to Production Line Control & Factory Integration / IT team

  • Responsible for the Backend wide intelligent shopfloor & control tower implementation under Industry 4.0 program

  • Orchestrate yearly target setting with all segments/sites globally for key production speed performance indicators such as Cycle time (Range), Cycle time spread and Dispatch System Compliance

  • Govern and sustain the backend-wide WIP Flow work methods, ensure effective business process change for future manufacturing landscape and requirement

  • Drive harvesting of productivity potential from 4M synchronization in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement and reducing line control effort

  • Perform Data ETL (Extract-Transform-Load), data analysis & data visualization (Tableau) for Production Management System

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering / Computer science, Manufacturing engineering

  • 5 – 8 years of working experience in Industrial Engineering, Operational Research, WIP flow management and Production Management system; preferably at least 3 years in smart manufacturing & Industrial 4.0 environment

  • Experience in project management methods and processes, provided in project frameworks, IPMA C / PMP

  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage crisis situations, consolidation of conflicts and presentation to senior management as well as direct communication to challenging customers

  • Practical experience in databases and reporting tools, especially solid Tableau development skill

  • Excellent English communication skills that helps to master the need for alignment across internal and external stakeholders
