The Customer Quality Engineer is responsible for automotive customer quality issues and continuous improvement activities.
Key areas of responsibilities:
Lead and drive customer quality meetings to derive root causes, corrective and preventive actions.
Drive closure of failures, quality-related issues and customer requests, manage claims and 8D reports
Develop, drive, and lead the improvement of manufacturing systems and processes to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Lead and drive continuous improvement projects.
Build and drive customer relationships to improve customer satisfaction.
Perform customer quality performance monitoring and reporting to internal management and customer.
Develop inspection plans, drive and manage customers KPIs, quality-related proactive and reactive communication.
Coordinate customer audit.
Analyze customer quality performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering discipline
At least 2 years automotive customer quality experience
Strong knowledge and practices in 8D, PFMEA, TS16949
Good understanding of first-article inspection requirements and expectations
