Job description


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive facility plan for the Assembly and Test facility.

  • Manage the construction of all facilities, including coordination with contractors, architects, and other vendors.

  • Develop and maintain a facilities management plan to ensure that all facilities are maintained to a high standard and meet regulatory requirements.

  • Manage a team of facility staff, including hiring, training, and development.

  • Develop and manage a budget for facility construction and ongoing maintenance.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that facility needs are met, including equipment installation and maintenance, safety and security measures, and environmental compliance.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with local government officials and other stakeholders to ensure that facility operations are supported and compliant with local regulations.

  • Provide leadership for Facilities functions; develop a working relationship with Department Managers and encourage teamwork.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of standards, policies and procedures for the installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance of plant support systems.

  • Ensure that costs and budgets are developed and maintained for contracts, acquisition of equipment, operating materials, and labor.

  • Execute the direction and action to support Site goals and corporate goals.

  • Ensure that department learning and development opportunities are identified and fulfilled.

  • Ensure that staffing levels are efficient and adequate to maintain the Site.

  • Interface with Corporate Management.

  • Direct the operation of plant support systems in a way that will minimize the effect on production.

  • Oversee safety and environmental training requirements and plans for Facilities personnel.

  • Ensure that the Site is maintained to provide a safe and healthy work environment.

  • Manage RBA compliance on Facilities.

  • Ensure team members are required to complete their learning items within the stipulated time frame.

Requirements

Qualification:

  • Experience managing a team of facility staff.

  • Knowledge of local regulatory requirements for facility construction and operation in India.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects to completion on time and within budget.

  • Experience with environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.

  • Possess a strong knowledge of the Capital and Expense budgeting process.

  • Working knowledge of environmental and Safety laws and regulations.

  • Ability to set direction and make decisions with minimal guidance.

  • Demonstrated ability to change and implement change.

  • Ability to diplomatically work with customers and vendors.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical ability.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Project).

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering mechanical or electrical or Process Mechanical or Civil Structural Architectural, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in facility planning, engineering, construction projects, maintenance, and facility management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

  • PMP certified competency and hands-on project experience.   

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 10-year experience operation & maintenance in mechanical or electrical or Process Mechanical or a related field

  • Engineering with a focus on Design and Construction of Semiconductor Mechanical Systems

Experience Desired:

  • Demonstrable experience in the management of facility operation and maintenance  for semiconductor Plants and/or other relevant industries is strongly preferred. Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and facilities systems

  • Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them to others.

  • Outstanding organization, coordination, and leadership skills – ability to coordinate and motivate groups of Consultants / Contractors.
