Job description

  • Cultivate and implement strategic direction and objectives for the IT capabilities of the company. Implement and improve Business Enterprise systems (Finance, Purchasing, Sourcing & Procurement, Manufacturing and HR, etc.) and .Net / SharePoint / Mobile Solutions.

  • Consult with other department heads as an IT technologies advisor that may improve efficiency and effectiveness. Manage the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing IT systems and software packages.

  • Identify effective IT technology to optimize IT architecture and infrastructure for most cost effective performance.

  • Develop effective customer service platforms.

  • Responsible for IT services vendor/supplier negotiations and management on major contracts with IT hardware and service providers. Establish partnerships with external third parties to increase speed of innovation, testing, implementation and enhance cost effectiveness.

  • Convey policies and ensure procedures in place for Information Security, Information back-up and Disaster Recovery. Manage information risks using surveillance and audits.  Ensure effective physical security of all IT systems.

  • Manage a multitude of SAP and related project activities globally to ensure the successful completion of projects, lead the team to help users identify and execute against their Enterprise Resource Planning needs using SAP technologies.

  • Forge cohesive teamwork and partnership across Group of Companies.

  • Develop positive business and professional relationship with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT discipline/equivalent, Master Degree in IT related discipline/Business Administration from a recognised university is an added advantage.

  • Minimum 12 years' experience in IT roles in a manufacturing and B2B environment/ related industry in an MNC organization.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in IT senior leadership role.

  • Familiarity in manufacturing methodologies such as Lean, Kanban and/or Six Sigma is a plus.

  • Experience in handling SAP (HANA, FIORI or Cloud) projects, knowledge and experience in integration of SAP with non-SAP systems, both internal and off-the-shelf software.

  • Skills, knowledge and experience in strategic planning, operational execution, contracting, negotiating, and change management.

  • Strong leadership in team development and teamwork enabled by strong interpersonal, influencing and conflict resolution skills.

  • Track records in developing future leaders and key IT functional experts.

  • Highly self-motivated, resilient, adaptable, able to take pressure, not knocked off balance by the unexpected. Highly self-aware, has an inquisitive mind, having humility to learn from others. Resourceful and quick to act but not hasty.
