Job description
As Site Planning and Industrial Engineering Manager, you are responsible for supervising and developing a team to ensure effective capacity modeling and production planning within the site. You will partner with Central Planning and Supply Chain to continuously optimize site response to Network requirements and drive improvement in business processes within the site to support business objectives. In this role you will be responsible for developing operating plans for site production groups from 0-24 months and working with production groups to ensure that dispatch and scheduling are directed to optimize results for the network. You will be communicating with internal and external partners to identify resources required to support the plan and follow up on actions to close identified gaps.
Responsibilities and Tasks :
Building and coaching a team of IE, Product planners and Data analysts
Coordinate site responses to build plans, change requests and ad-hoc studies
Implementing and improving planning and shopfloor scheduling processes within the site
Maintain Master Data and capacity constraints
Ensure accuracy of manufacturing SOS commits
Communicate with Supply Chain/BE Central Planning/Purchasing/Production on plans, changes and expedites
Provide inputs and participate for network optimization and long term strategy discussions
 Align and build site metrics with BE Central Planning , monitor performance to plan and metrics, and identify improvement opportunities
Communicate with Subcon Planning and Fabs on pull or support requests
Communicate with other site planning groups on cross site processing
Manage inventory levels in accordance with supply chain design and goals
Collaborate with internal and external partners to build and implement strategies aligned to corporate strategic objectives
Collaborating with other sites in planning and inventory benchmarking and projects
Requirements
Education Required : Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Management
Experience:Â Demonstrated ability in Production Planning/Capacity Planning
Qualifications :
Demonstrated knowledge of the worldwide factory network functions.
Good leadership skill in mentoring and managing the performance of team members.
Effective communication through multiple levels of the organization.
Excellent Project management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good analytical, communication, interpersonal and decision making skills with strong interest to work in a dynamic environment
An understanding of Manufacturing Science (scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning, lean manufacturing, etc…)
