Job description

  • Custodian for procurement policies and processes to ensure proper documentation and compliance.

  • Conduct regular review of procurement policies and processes to identify areas for improvement.

  • Work closely with Category managers and Supplier Relations Managers to identify and develop electronic procurement systems to improve productivity and efficiency.

  • Lead role as key procurement processes owner and be responsible for the successful implementation of electronic procurement systems.

  • Plan, organise and carry out change management activities to ensure smooth transition for any new systems, functions or processes for procurement.

  • Manage all testing activities required for new electronic procurement systems or functionalities.

  • Develop and maintain Cost Benefit Analysis models to justify procurement systems projects and Customer Satisfaction Analysis to measure success of projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in managing procurement processes at contract level or managing the development and implementation of electronic procurement systems.

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction, IT or other relevant areas.

  • Well versed in different procurement processes and methodologies and possess good understanding of control measures in procurement for prevention of fraud or conflicts of interest.

  • Experienced in project management particularly in areas of time and cost management. Preferably in projects relating to implementing or enhancing electronic procurement systems.

  • Strong teambuilding and teamwork skills for role as team leader and facilitator.

  • Ability to work with multiple priorities, and engage resources within the organization, or outside, to achieve objectives.

  • Strong problem solving skills and able adapt and utilise past knowledge and experience for use in company’s unique requirements and processes.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

  • CIPS Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or post qualification experience (preferable).
