Job description

Our client is hiring a Production Engineer to support manufacturing operations within a lacquering environment. This role focuses on resolving technical production issues, improving process efficiency and yield, and ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for daily production, particularly in spraying and polishing processes

  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, including defects, rework, and customer complaints

  • Analyze production data and implement improvements to enhance yield and efficiency

  • Evaluate and validate process changes using risk-based approaches

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with production KPIs

  • Ensure proper maintenance of jigs, fixtures, and production equipment

  • Monitor spare parts usage to minimize downtime

  • Review workflows to improve cycle time and operational efficiency

  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and QEHS systems

  • Support and promote 5S practices within the production environment

  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Production Manager

Requirements

  • Diploma or higher in Engineering or a related field

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (lacquering or surface finishing preferred)

  • Knowledge of quality tools such as PFMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, and 8D is an advantage

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 standards is preferred

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Self-motivated, independent, and proactive
