Job description
Review company’s core businesses and identify key business areas and key suppliers.
Establish business intelligence on Key Suppliers and maintenance of supplier’s info database.
Develop and implement strategic supplier relationship framework and initiatives.
Work with category managers and end users to communicate the supplier’s strategy and key events.
Monitor progress with assigned key suppliers and report any deviations to plan and take appropriate action to mitigate any deviation from plan.
Identifies opportunities and implement development plans to drive Innovation and Value Creation for key suppliers and maximize company’s value.
Identify areas of needs to expand supplier pool and seek out suitable new suppliers.
Participate in supplier audits / visits with the support of related Cross Functional teams to evaluate supplier capability, Manufacturing Process, quality and Capacity.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience in supply chain or procurement at strategic level or supplier management.
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction or other relevant areas.
Well versed in formulating procurement strategies and performing Cost Benefit Analysis to support proposed strategies.
Experience in implementing supplier certification and partnership processes.
Strong team-building and teamwork skills for role as team leader and facilitator.
Ability to work with multiple priorities, and engage resources within the organization, or outside, to achieve objectives.
Strong analytical skills and able to manage and influence change.
Strong problem solving skills, with an understanding of relevant cost drivers.
Experienced in global sourcing environment, with working knowledge and understanding of total cost of ownership concept.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
CIPS Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or post qualification experience (preferable).
