Supplier Quality Manager

The Supplier Quality Manager is a newly created position to lead global supplier quality function ensuring compliance, reduction of cost of poor quality, identifying and driving cost reductions at supplier manufacturing site, focusing on supplier improvements. S/He will develop and update the Supplier Quality Procedures & processes, manage Supplier Quality objectives, audit requirements and tiering of suppliers. S/He will also lead supplier performance evaluations or audit to applicable standard or requirements, ensure compliance to supplier selection/release/approval process and sustainability guidelines. S/He will also actively participate in strategic supplier development manage the deliverables of the supplier development process for selected key suppliers with a performance gap. As a champion of problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformance, s/he will work closely with cross functional team to quickly mitigate and deploy decisive actions for supplier related quality issues. The scope include, liaising with all departments on matters relating to supplier issues as well as external customers and regulatory bodies., monitoring and reporting on supplier quality performance metrics of suppliers. S/He will travel to supplier site for audit, quality improvements activities or supplier management activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Manufacturing or relevant study

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (Supplier Quality Management / Supplier Quality Audit / Process or Equipment Engineering) in Semiconductor/ Electronic industry

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking with high level of enthusiasm.

  • Strong analytical problem solver with demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment while working independently to resolve critical issues.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interface effectively and professionally at all levels

  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task/work under pressure in a high energy and fast paced-environment with critical and tight schedules.

  • Solid audit experiences –eg : ISO 9001, IATF 16949 preferred

  • Strong knowledge of 6 sigma tools such as 8D, FMEA, DMAIC, Value Stream Map, Root Cause Analysis

  • Knowledge of statistical tools such as SPC, Statistical sampling DOE preferred.
