Job description

  • Partner with EDM Global Functional leaders to:

  • Effectively execute initiatives and projects within Regional Manufacturing Site locations. EDM Global functions include Big Data Platform & Analytics, Enterprise Performance Management, Data Governance, and Master Data Management.

  • Plan and implement local site “EDM Impact Teams” to provide technical support and share data management best practices. Drive adoption of new technologies and identification of change management opportunities.

  • Partner with EDM Global Support Teams to engage and manage vendor relations for Managed Services and develop a Center of Excellence support operating model within Bangalore, India.

  • Partner with EDM Business Operations in hiring and on-boarding new EDM team members

  • Act as point of contact person to lead and resolve local EDM issues.

  • Build strong working relationships with Regional Manufacturing Site Business Management and IT Site Leaders.

  • Arrange EDM Global Functional Leaders and teams during visiting Regional Sites (define business and IT stakeholders, key meeting topics, logistics, etc.). Organize EDM Regional Town Hall meetings, communicating key messages and fostering an EDM Regional community (recognition, team building, etc.)

  • Contribute in EDM strategic planning, priority setting and operational reviews.

  • Represent best practice in Data Architecture, Master Data, Data Governance, Enterprise Performance Management, and Big Data.

  • Provide training as needed.


  • Degree in IT/ related disciplines with at least 10 years of related experience.                   

  • Good understanding of Product Development, Manufacturing, Operations processes and analytics in a manufacturing environment.

  • Working knowledge of EDM principles and best practices.

  • Background in Data Management leadership, business engagement and matrix management.

  • Experience in Big Data, analytical platforms and technologies required.

  • Skill of partner with business to get buy-in.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • A team player who able to takes initiative and works well without direction.

  • Required to travel within Japan, Asia, and India with occasion travel to US.

  • This is an individual contributor role which may progress to a management role.
