WEBINAR: HOW GREEN AMMONIA CAN HELP US REACH NET-ZERO
Achieving net zero by 2050 will require a large increase in renewable generation capacity and a step-change in long-term energy storage. This long-duration storage requirement is set to be met by using excess renewable energy to generate carbon free fuels such as hydrogen and ammonia. To date, hydrogen has arguably had the most attention and publicity. But in recent years, the potential for ammonia to help us reach net zero has become clearer. There are multiple engineering challenges associated with the generation of green ammonia from intermittent renewable power and with the new application of ammonia as a zero-carbon fuel. This webinar will explore possible solutions to overcome these, as well as opportunities for mechanical and chemical engineers alike to take part in this transition.
