
Job description
The Analyst, Business Analytics & Data Science formulates and implements data and artificial intelligence (AI) strategies to optimise business value derived from data assets. He/She creates new algorithms and models, reviews the feasibility of translating such models into data and AI solutions and executes the development of such solutions with the respective business units in the organisation. The Analyst, Business Analytics & Data Science shall adopt a hands-on approach to developing data and AI solutions for the business to influence strategy and planning, decision- making and drive performance. He/She is proficient in statistics, scripting and programming languages. He/She is also familiar with the relevant data analytics and AI software platforms on which AI and Machine Learning (ML) solutions are developed and deployed on.

The Analyst, Business Analytics & Data Science is a highly effective communicator, articulating the potential value and impact of data, AI and ML solutions on the business and influencing key business stakeholders. He/She is a proactive and innovative individual, possessing a strong drive to succeed amidst an evolving business environment. He/She ensures compliance to the organisation's data privacy policies, ethics and governance framework, and intellectual property legislation.
Implement data and artificial intelligence (AI) strategy
Formulate and implement strategies to identify, acquire and use appropriate data and AI models.
Drive implementation of new data management technologies.
Work with the organisation's leadership to develop and implement AI strategy and focus.
Communicate and ensure compliance to the organisation's data privacy policies, and ethics and governance framework.
Direct engagement initiatives to communicate the potential and value of data and AI across the organisation.
Review development outcomes to ensure alignment with the organisation's vision, mission and values, and data and AI strategy.
Establish internal policies and processes to perform regular model tuning to cater for changes in customer behaviour over time.
Formulate objectives and requirements from a business perspective
Develop feasibility analysis plans for AI and Data Science Projects based on business requirements and expected outcomes.
Synthesise insights from research on emerging trends, market developments and environmental scans to support feasibility analysis.
Ensure proposed AI solutions can be executed based on an evaluation of cost-benefit, competitive and feasibility analysis.
Communicate insights of feasibility analysis and relevant success strategies with key business stakeholders for decision making.
Build partnerships with key service partners and customers within and across industries to accelerate the adoption of Data Science and AI initiatives.
Present data driven business value of data science/artificial intelligence (AI) models
Develop the AI solutions through a ‘hands-on’ approach – i.e. perform coding of scripts and testing of solutions on the AI platforms identified for the solutions.
Present data and AI model development outcomes to key stakeholders.
Create leading-edge resources, including playbooks, guides, blog posts, videos, to advance data and AI within the organisation and for end-users.
Present insights of data and AI model to key stakeholders.
Articulate the potential business value and commercial impact derived from data and AI solutions.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Computing
6 years’ prior experience in a scripting/coding role.
3 years hands-on experience with programming AI solutions in known AI and Data Analytics Platforms.
Strong knowledge of Enterprise Systems (i.e. SAP), Cloud Computing Systems, data architectures and work processes.
Proficient in statistics and possess demonstrated knowledge and experience in analysing data and deriving business value from data. Â
Strong time management, project management and interpersonal skills.
Highly motivated and demonstrated ability to work well with cross-divisional teams and at all levels of the organization.
Keen interest to work in a Supply Chain organisation and in shaping supply chain outcomes in a business analyst role.
