Develop category management strategies in assigned commodity groups to guide interactions with external partners and to ensure that category management strategies maintain or establish a technology, quality and cost leadership position for the company.
Communicate and drive alignment of category management strategies with stakeholders.
Ensure supply chain continuity and procurement of direct materials are adequately supported.
Implement and manage contractual arrangements. Facilitate or lead negotiations with strategic suppliers.
Lead or participate in supplier planning, evaluation, selection, acceptance and monitoring in conjunction with Quality Management System.
Degree qualification in Textile/Fashion Materials, Engineering, Science or related Business discipline. Preferred with 5 years of experience in a category management or strategic procurement role.
Experience in assessing and sourcing and new textile material technologies.
Familiar with manufacturing processes of fibre, yarn, fabric, foam.
Experience in dealing with elastic (stretchable) and breathable textiles and products with high intimacy such as inner wear, sport wear, shoes and medical purpose garments.
Good network with fabric suppliers and textiles institutes in SE ASIA region.
