
Job description
Our client is seeking a Characterization & Failure Analysis Principal Engineer to lead advanced testing and diagnostic efforts within a high-performance laboratory environment. The successful candidate will drive technical investigations, oversee analytical processes, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of all characterization and failure analysis activities.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage laboratory testing aligned with project and organizational priorities.
Lead complex characterization and failure analysis to support product and process improvements.
Maintain and calibrate equipment while ensuring safety and quality compliance.
Apply statistical and analytical techniques to monitor data integrity and identify performance trends.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret results and develop technical solutions.
Drives continuous improvement in testing methodologies, documentation practices, and operational workflows.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in laboratory operations, materials characterization, or failure analysis.
Expertise with analytical instrumentation and testing methodologies used in advanced technology environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proven ability to lead investigations and ensure high-quality technical outcomes.
