Job description

As a Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for managing strategic supplier relationships through advanced techniques, models, and processes to ensure high-quality support for goods and services. This role includes driving essential initiatives, handling RFQs, sourcing activities, cost savings, and various commercial functions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commodity strategies, fostering supplier development through collaboration and innovation.

  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and market dynamics to proactively address supply chain needs.

  • Use contracting, negotiation, risk management, and supplier relationship skills to secure sustainable cost, quality, availability, and technology solutions.

  • Ensure that commodity supply aligns with business demand and cost goals.

  • Review and adjust sourcing strategies in response to changing market conditions and create contingency plans for business continuity.

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to optimize the supply chain, set cost targets, and define cost-reduction roadmaps.

  • Lead supplier evaluation, analysis, and sourcing activities for designated commodities.

  • Develop and monitor performance metrics to support continuous supplier improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.

  • Strong background in sourcing, commercial, or category management with a minimum of 5 years of experience.  

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and independently.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with burn-in socket or mechanical components is a significant advantage.
