Job description

  •  Be responsible for identifying synergy and opportunities to derive costs savings (e.g. through volume bundling) for APAC IT and R&D purchases.

  • Drive negotiations for key topics by working closely with site-local buyers, in collaboration and alignment with global category managers for strategic procurement activities

  • Manage key stakeholders ensure deliverables are met

  • Drive supplier management activities for key sites, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and best costs sourcing

  • Resolve issues or escalations triggered by local buyers or end-users when needed

  • Be well-versed in contract negotiations and good understanding of the procurement process

  • Resourceful and possess the ability to carry outsourcing and market research for Asia Pacific and Greater China regions, as an understanding of local markets and suppliers landscape would be essential in deriving commodity strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies, Engineering or IT

  • Minimum 7-8 years of relevant working experience in sourcing and procurement in IT and R&D, which includes strong experience in commercial and contractual negotiations

  • Possess a good understanding of full procurement process (operational procurement, vendor management, and strategic procurement).

  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to derive cost savings

  • Ability to drive key topics, collaborate, and work well at all levels such as end-users, internal stakeholders, and site management in the Asia Pacific and Greater China regions

  • Technical background in IT is an advantageous

  • Strong proficiency in English. Desirable to have Mandarin  to deal with suppliers in China
