Job description
Support Head Compliance on strategizing, building and driving compliance initiatives and programs across the Group.
Develop and manage a compliance framework to ensure appropriate mechanism is in place to alert compliance unit of new/changes to existing regulation obligations, monitor fulfilment of regulatory obligations and for reporting on compliance matters.
Work with key stakeholders and business partners to drive compliance accountability and adherence within business/functional units.
Ensure the development of policies and procedures within the Group in response to new or existing laws or regulations.
Develop annual compliance program and compliance audit plan with inputs from key stakeholders.
Plan and direct ongoing compliance assessments. Ensure compliance findings are addressed and works with internal stakeholders to coordinate the development/revision and implementation of company policies and guidelines as necessary.
Develop and provide oversight of the testing and monitoring process on a continuing basis while taking appropriate steps to improve the overall effectiveness of the compliance programs.
Establish and conduct compliance awareness and training programme.
Prepare updates/reports to Senior Management on instances of non-compliance.
Manages the day-to-day running of the Compliance Unit.
Requirements
Degree in accountancy/engineering with at least 15 years of relevant experience in compliance and/or related functions.
Leadership and strong people engagement skills are desirable traits.
Solution oriented with strong analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
A strong communicator.
