Job description

Investor and Shareholder Relations

  • Develop and implement effective strategies, programs and communications to cultivate and nurture relationships with the investment community, analysts and shareholders through private and group meetings, investor conferences and results briefings, etc.

  • Manage the effectiveness of various communications & touchpoints to provide appropriate information on the company performance and plans.  Provide feedback and insight to senior management on investors, analysts & shareholders’ sentiment and industry conditions.

  • Work with CEO and CFO to develop, establish and maintain relationships with both existing and targeted new institutional investors, analysts and shareholders.


Corporate Communications

External Communications:

  • Work closely with Senior Management to prepare press releases, quarterly earnings releases, ad-hoc industry events, specific business development engagements, conference calls, proxy statements, communication scripts, Q&A, annual reports, sustainability report and SGX filings.

  • Work closely with Corporate Finance and Corporate Secretarial function to improve corporate governance and disclosure standards.

  • Work closely with business leaders to create and update sales & marketing promotional materials and support Total Customer Satisfactions through communication innovations.

Understanding Markets:

  • Analyse market trends – investors’ perceptions and opinions, brokerage trade recommendations, relative stock price movements, and periodic ownership analysis - and present findings to Senior Management.

  • Monitor and analyse competitors, customers’ activities, regulatory environment, broader external and community environment to assess the potential impact on the company business; propose and provide appropriate advice to Senior Management on possible future actions.

Internal Communications:

  • Develop contents, platforms, activities, tools or surveys to enable effective internal communication to educate and engage employees striving towards fulfilling the company’s vision and strategies.

Ensure overall planning and execution of external & internal communications are timely, accurate and effective.


Corporate Branding & Identity

  • Establish strategies and execute programs, activities, touchpoints and opinion research to build the company external brand recognition, favouable Corporate identity and positive relations with business media, regulatory bodies and community, etc.

  • Produce, maintain and update  website, presentations, factsheet, press releases and other communication materials or media to effectively communicate the company’s message, brand and identity.

Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Public Relations, Communication or equivalent.  A Master Degree in a related discipline or Master in Business Administration from a recognized university is an added advantage.

  • At least 15 years’ experience of progressively increasing responsibility in overall investors, shareholders, corporate communication and corporate brand/identity building in a fast-moving, high-tech environment of listed companies or MNCs, out of which at least 5 years in a senior leadership role to lead investor relations and corporate communications function. 

  • Business savvy, able to see the world through the lens of multiple stakeholders: senior executives, customers, industry experts, investors, analysts, shareholders and the larger business community, etc.

  • Strong financial literacy; global perspective and politically savvy, and highly attuned to the nuances and impact of legislative, regulatory and policy issues.

  • Is tech-savvy with latest trend and development of high-technology businesses.

  • Well-honed written, verbal and creative communication skills, including ability to translate insight into content and create effective presentations.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain relationships with company executives, investors, analysts, shareholders, business media, etc.

  • Is a team-player and collaborative with an enterprise-wise perspective.  Humble but yet has the courage to push back against prevailing opinion, and actively engage in debate and dialogues for the well-being of the Company.

  • Strong learning agility; comfortable adjusting to fast-moving, complex and fluid business environment where rapid change is the norm; resilient, relentless in pursuing excellence.
