Job description

  • Work with regional offices to originate and prioritise investment and/or development opportunities in new energy businesses.

  • Act as the deal team leader to develop the bid strategy, structure the deal and manage the bid process while maintaining a highly rigorous and diligent process that facilitates high quality investment decision making.

  • Propose and develop new strategic partnerships to back up assumptions used in securing the deal.

  • Monitor performance of the investment, relevant market developments and develop initiatives to enhance value of investments.

  • Lead and mentor a business development team.


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, graduate degree, MBA or related graduate degree.

  • At least 15 years of meaningful experience in M&A, portfolio management, asset management in a fast-paced and dynamic competitive environment.

  • Experience in microgrids, electric vehicles.

  • Proven ability to lead a team to establish new deals.

  • Excellent project managerial and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate team to produce quality outcomes within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects required.

  • Strong communication and networking skills.

  • Additional languages (such as Mandarin, Arabic, etc) a plus.

  • Ability to travel frequently between regional offices and portfolio projects / companies as required.
