
Job description
Our client is looking for an experienced Principal Engineer to lead the operations and optimization of Ultrapure Water (UPW) and wastewater systems within a high-volume semiconductor facility. This role focuses on ensuring system reliability, regulatory compliance, and driving efficiency improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and guide a team of engineers to ensure reliable and efficient operation of process utilities supporting wafer fabrication.
Oversee day-to-day system operations, preventive maintenance, and issue resolution to sustain high system uptime.
Enhance system performance through quality and reliability initiatives, while aligning with operational and cost efficiency goals.
Develop and implement programs aimed at reducing operating costs and maximizing process stability.
Manage facility upgrade and capacity expansion projects from planning through execution.
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and support management in broader departmental goals.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry.
Minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, or industrial utilities operations.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple operational demands.
Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset and solid technical foundation in process systems.
