Job description

As a Fixed Asset Manager, you'll play a vital role in financial operations and providing accounting shared services to other countries. Your main duties involve accurately managing Fixed Assets registration, control, valuation, and record-keeping of fixed assets, all in compliance with accounting standards. You'll oversee fixed asset activities, reporting, and month-end closings, ensuring everything is done promptly. We need someone hands-on, ready to dive in, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment. This role demands strong accounting skills, familiarity with SOX control, and the ability to grasp both details and the bigger picture.


Responsibilities include ensuring accurate accounting treatment for fixed assets and CIP activities, managing the full fixed asset lifecycle, leading month-end closings, acting as the main liaison for fixed asset accounting, participating in monthly close processes, conducting regular audits, assisting with audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with regulations, identifying process improvement opportunities, collaborating with auditors, fostering internal relationships, supervising teams to meet deadlines, leading special projects and system enhancements, and maintaining Service Level Agreements.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent with professional qualifications (ACCA/CPA/MIA).

  • 7-10 years of experience in Fixed Assets Management & General Ledger Accounting, including 2 years in a managerial role.

  • Strong expertise in Fixed Assets Management, US GAAP, MFRS/IFRS, internal controls, and SOX compliance with ability to manage shared service expectations and collaborate across functions.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft D365) and/or Blackline is advantageous.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. 

  • Fluency in spoken and written English, along with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities, is required.

  • Experience dealing with accelerated depreciation is a must.
