Strategic Direction and Operational Execution
Develop and implement strategic direction and objectives for the IT capabilities of the company to ensure the IT function value-add and is responsive to the needs of the company's growth and objectives.
Consult with other department heads as an advisor of technologies that may improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Negotiate and manage major contracts with IT hardware and service providers - establish partnerships with external third parties to increase speed of innovation, testing, implementation, replication, and scaling.
Ensure effective physical security and cyber security of all IT systems.
Oversee the entire technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) and apllications and software in the company to ensure optimal performance.
Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing IT systems and software packages -identify latest technology and development in order to help the company be ahead of the industry.
Develop and manage IT back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.
Review and put in place effective IT policies, procedures and internal controls so as to ensure IT practices are in compliance to quality standards, local laws, regulations and Venture Corporate governance.
Write department annual budgets and administer funds according to budget approval.
People Leadership and Teamwork
Develop and ensure key or critical IT positions succession pipeline.
Forge cohesive teamwork and partnership across Venture Group of Companies.
Cultivate positive business and professional relationship with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements
At least a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology discipline or equivalent. A Master Degree in IT related discipline or Master in Business Administration from a recognised university is an added advantage.
At least 15-20 years' experience in IT roles in a complex manufacturing environment, or related industry in an MNC organization; Out of which, at least 5 years' experience in CIO or CIO-equivalent role.
Familiarity with discrete manufacturing processes and manufacturing methodologies such as Lean, Kanban and/or 6-sigma.
Skills, knowledge and experience in strategic planning and operational execution.
Skills, knowledge and experience of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
Strong leadership in team development and teamwork enabled by strong interpersonal, influencing and conflict resolution skills.
Track records in developing future leaders and key/critical IT functional experts.
Highly self-motivated; resilient; adaptable; able to take pressure; not knocked off balance by the unexpected.
Highly self-aware; has an inquisitive mind; having humility to learn from others.
Resourceful; quick to act but not hasty.
