Job description
Our client is looking for a senior Metrology Development Chief Engineer to provide technical leadership in metrology development, test solutions, automation and manufacturing transfer. The position will support the metrology roadmap and work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams across product development, NPI and mass production.
Key Responsibilities
Support the long-term metrology and test-development strategy.
Lead complex metrology-development and improvement activities.
Mentor and train metrology and test engineers.
Support product and process qualification during NPI.
Lead transfer of metrology capability from development to production.
Drive MSA, measurement correlation and standardisation.
Develop new metrology methods and test solutions.
Lead equipment specification, supplier development and equipment buy-off.
Improve automation, data collection, measurement accuracy and efficiency.
Lead structured problem solving for metrology-related issues and customer concerns.
Requirements
Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Photonics, Optics, Physics, Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 15 years of experience in metrology.
Strong hands-on background in metrology development, test development, characterisation and automation.
3–5 years of technical leadership or people-management experience.
Strong knowledge of MSA, SPC, Cpk and statistical analysis.
Programming experience in Python, C++ and/or LabVIEW.
Strong problem-solving, project-management and stakeholder-management skills.
