Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced Metrology & Test Development Manager to lead metrology and test-development activities from product development and NPI through high-volume manufacturing. The role will oversee technical strategy, team development, measurement-system capability, automation and manufacturing readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the metrology and test-development function and define the technical roadmap.
Build, mentor and develop the metrology and test engineering team.
Support product and process qualification during development and NPI.
Drive transfer of metrology and test methods into mass production.
Establish and govern MSA, GR&R, calibration and correlation activities.
Lead development and qualification of new metrology and test solutions.
Drive equipment automation, data integration and measurement accuracy improvements.
Improve metrology cost, efficiency, throughput and measurement consistency.
Lead resolution of complex metrology issues and work closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Photonics, Optics, Physics, Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.
12–15 years of relevant metrology, test-development, characterisation or optical-manufacturing experience.
3–5 years of technical leadership or people-management experience.
Strong knowledge of MSA, SPC, Cpk, regression analysis and statistical techniques.
Experience with automation and automated data collection.
Programming knowledge in Python and/or LabVIEW.
Strong project-management, problem-solving and communication skills.
