Job description

  • To coordinate and manage new product launch from concept to the end of product life cycle.

  • To provide NPI program management interface to customers and understand customer requirements; such as Target capacity, support various Ramp up scenario Planning & roll up total investment budget.

  • To work closely with all relevant functions in ensuring daily smooth high-volume production with quality.

  • To take up any appropriate assignment as required by the management.

  • Risk Management Assessment on impact to build in various phase.

  • Leads operation Capacity Planning (include tooling cap), Assessment, Build cost & BoE approval.

  • To support counterparts towards achieving product development goals per NPD processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring proper execution and documentation of design for manufacturing (DFM) and Design for test (DFT) through the use of appropriate tools.

  • Responsible for coordinating pre-production build and provide build status update to customers.

  • Responsible for providing technical support in production line setup, ensuring all the tools and fixtures are available for the various built in accordance to the project schedule and planning.

  • To work closely with R&D and Operations in formulating various contingency and mitigation plans ensuring the best outcome of the project.

  • Project overall schedule planning, includes but not limited to:

  • Accountable for Cell, fixture, tester readiness status, Material readiness and Process deliverables readiness.

  • Build date & Shipment date is defined by PM and shall be part of the operation schedule planning.

  • Overall responsible for all the deliverables readiness and submission to PMI thru OnePlace

  • Responsible for ensuring that all preparation activities such as, Line Qual, Fixture Qual, Critical Process Qual are executed timely.


  • Main Liaison between Pdev, factory, and customer NPI-Lead for Programs, Procurements, Manufacturing matters. Work with PM on Budget Allocation, Build costing, and actual investment cost NRE.

Requirements

  • Masters/Degree in any engineering related field.

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in high volume consumer product environment.

  • Possess high level of integrity, initiative and sense of urgency.

  • Able to travel overseas when required.

  • Good understanding of PCA process, technology trends and electronics fundamentals.

  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, written and verbal communications.

  • Excellent analytical skills are required.
