
Job description
This role leads end-to-end manufacturing operations, including factory start-up, through effective manpower planning, technical leadership, and continuous improvement. The position is accountable for establishing operational readiness, ramping up production, and sustaining performance in quality, cost, and delivery while ensuring full compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Factory Start-Up & Operational Readiness
Lead factory start-up activities including site readiness, production line qualification, and operational ramp-up.
Develop and execute start-up plans covering manpower hiring, training, process validation, equipment commissioning, and capacity planning.
Establish initial operating procedures, workflows, and governance structures to ensure a stable production launch.
Partner with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure successful new product and process introduction.
Operations Leadership
Drive resource planning and workforce allocation to meet production and performance targets.
Build and sustain strong technical capability within the operations team through structured training and development.
Lead productivity and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment utilization, manpower efficiency, and process performance.
Implement programs to improve quality, delivery reliability, and operational effectiveness.
Plan and manage manpower requirements to achieve maximum operational efficiency.
Supply Chain & Inventory Control
Oversee supplier management and cross-functional operational coordination.
Ensure accuracy and control of raw materials and finished goods inventory across locations.
Technology & Systems
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, systems, and equipment aligned with business and market needs.
Support digitalization and automation initiatives where applicable.
Quality & Compliance
Participate in contract reviews and operational risk assessments.
Establish, standardize, and enforce best practices across sites.
Lead investigations into product non-conformities and validate corrective actions.
Own and execute CAPA programs.
Monitor and reduce Cost of Poor Quality.
Establish and maintain GMP compliance.
EHS & Governance
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Champion workplace safety and EHS initiatives.

Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor Degree with ~10 years relevant experience
Experience in plastic injection molding, automation, or manufacturing environments.
Min ~5 years in plastic injection molding operations or ~10 years in broader manufacturing operations.
Formal training or certification in plastics manufacturing or injection molding is advantageous.
