Job description

  • A strong foundation in LiDAR technology, including data acquisition, processing, and analysis.

  • Developing and refining LiDAR detection systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Design, develop, and implement LiDAR data collection protocols.

  • Process and analyse LiDAR datasets to produce accurate 3D models and maps.

  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate LiDAR data into our applications.

  • Conduct field tests to validate and improve LiDAR detection algorithm.

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in LiDAR technology and data processing algorithms.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to LiDAR data quality and system performance.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders.

  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on LiDAR project outcomes and metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Remote Sensing, Physics, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Proven experience with LiDAR systems and data processing software (e.g., PCL, ROS, or equivalent).

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++.

  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques, deep learning and their application to LiDAR data is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment as well as independently.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
