Job description
The System Engineering discipline understands the needs of the automotive customers and translates them into requirements for other functional disciplines (electrical, mechanical, software etc.) for implementation.
As an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) Camera System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing camera systems for vehicles. You will work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure the system meets performance and safety requirements. In the RFQ stage, the System Engineer takes the lead in providing the technical proposals of the product to the customers. In the product development stage, the System Engineer ensures and validates that the end product meets the customers’ expectations.
Define and develop system architecture and innovative concepts for camera products in collaboration with ECU teams.
Drive new technology development and create innovative camera solutions for future projects and RFQs.
Support business development in acquisition activities and provide customers with the best solutions in terms of technology and cost.
In product development, ensure customer requirements are met in the product design, through negotiating performance specifications with customers as required and translating customer requirements to internal requirements.
Lead cross functional teams to ensure camera products are integrated successfully into the vehicle. Participate in vehicle calibration and testing to validate system performance requirements are met.
Support engineering team in system simulation to verify system requirements and architecture concepts.
Support engineering teams in product quality related issues, test specification definitions in system integration and system verification levels.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
4+ years of experience in CMOS sensor/ ISP/ hardware development or vision algorithm development, preferably in the automotive industry.
Experience in product development and verification of camera products.
Experience with electrical design.
Knowledge of IATF16949, ASPICE and automotive product lifecycle is desirable.
Good understanding of ISO26262 standards and experience in SOTIF is preferred.
Experience in cost and effort estimation for project quotations.
Possess good technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
Good experience of system engineering processes and related tool chains.
Willingness to travel internationally as required.
