
Job description
We are seeking an experienced and driven Principal Engineer to join the Facilities team, supporting advanced semiconductor manufacturing operations. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous operation of facility control and life safety systems within a wafer fabrication environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for facility control and life safety systems, ensuring stable and continuous operations aligned with required performance specifications
Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximise system uptime and reliability
Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation, including system drawings, data records, and maintenance histories
Lead and execute system upgrade and expansion projects, including:
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems
Gas detection and life safety systems
Industrial instrumentation
IoT / Smart facility initiatives
Support installation, testing, and commissioning of gas detection systems and interlocks for manufacturing equipment, working closely with tool owners and contractors
Troubleshoot and resolve system faults, interruptions, and performance issues
Prepare cost estimates, technical proposals, and project analyses
Requirements
Degree or Master’s in Electrical, Electronic, Control Engineering, or related disciplines
Approximately 5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a wafer fabrication or similar high-tech manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience with PLC and SCADA programming
Strong knowledge in industrial automation, control systems, and safety systems
Solid technical problem-solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to manage projects
Strong communication and teamwork skills
