Job description
Develops new or improved coating-related processes, introduces them into production, and resolves challenges related to new technologies and customer demands.
Key Responsibilities
Create and refine processes for new products or enhancements to existing lines.
Prepare technical specifications for production equipment and collaborate with customers and suppliers.
Define production concepts, capacity needs, and requirements for new technology integration.
Provide input during product development to ensure manufacturability and lean production flow.
Plan and execute pilot runs and production tests for new lines.
Maintain process documentation and coordinate with external service providers.
Lead improvement projects and facilitate cross-department collaboration.
Requirements
Knowledge of optical coating and coating design tools (e.g., optical layer software, Macleod).
Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Degree in mechanical, materials, or manufacturing engineering.
