
Job description
This role focuses on developing and industrializing active alignment processes for optical components in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The position involves transitioning new technologies from development into production, improving process performance, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement active alignment processes to meet performance and production targets.
Define manufacturing concepts, including process flow, equipment needs, and technical specifications.
Ensure process readiness through proper documentation (e.g., FMEA, control plans, work instructions).
Apply statistical methods and Design of Experiments (DoE) to optimize process capability and yield.
Specify and collaborate on the development of new equipment with suppliers.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, yield, and product quality.
Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Manage project milestones and support transition from development to mass production.
Train production teams to ensure consistent process execution and compliance.
Contribute to long-term process and equipment roadmap planning.
Requirements
Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, Photonics, Physics, Optics, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in process development within semiconductor or optical industries.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and statistical analysis techniques (e.g., DoE, Six Sigma).
Programming experience (Python/C++) and knowledge of image processing.
