Job description
Provide leadership to team of Global Procurement Head/Leads in Strategic Supplier Program Planning/Execution in supporting all LED Operations Site. Develop, formulate, and drive global commodity strategies, delivering bottom line results in cost down, delivery, quality and business and technology alignment roadmap with Supplier.
Direct the development of strategic relationships with Key Suppliers, including appraisal of Supplier manufacturing ability, capacity and risk through on-site visits and measurements. Lead the risk mitigation on supplier dependency risk (Geographical/Sole Source/etc) through team of supply chain contingencies and proactive resolutions for supply imbalances and disruptions.Â
Collaborate with Supply Chain/Planning team in managing and optimizing inventory and supply to achieve continuous and timely supply to ensure seamless production. To develop/define inventory reduction strategy with Supplier on Lead-time improvement, inventory management strategies via VMI/Consignment/JIT to reduce inventory carrying cost exposure for assigned commodity.
Direct and overseas purchasing negotiation with Suppliers on Incoterms and optimize logistic route mapping to maximize on-time delivery and economics. Execute payment terms and inventory optimization targets to deliver organization working capital improvements goals
Support & execute strategies for equipment parts and service contracts negotiations to achieve competitive cost of ownership.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Manufacturing or relevant study.
Minimum 20 years of relevant experience (Procurement, Global Supplier Management) in Semiconductor/ Electronic industry & LED industry. Preferably with strong experience in EMS, OSAT management on Outsource Manufacturing (Front+Backend).
Working knowledge on Planning/ERP systems like Oracle, SAP & etc.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking with high level of enthusiasm.Â
Excellent understanding of procurement processes, industry and suppliers with strong supplier sourcing and knowledge (Commodity and Capex Management).
Strong analytical problem solver with demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment while working independently to resolve critical issues.
Strong communication skills and ability to interface effectively and professionally at all levels.
Detail oriented and able to multi-task/work under pressure in a high energy and fast-pace environment with critical and tight schedules.
