Job description
Formulate and articulate the Group’s positions on regulatory policies.
Analyse regulatory developments in local and overseas markets especially those
impacting the energy, technology and telecommunications sectors.
Provide regulatory advice to the Group’s business units and senior management to
safeguard the Group’s strategic and commercial interests.
Support government and stakeholder relations engagement by developing
presentations, maintaining detailed documentation and performing economic/
quantitative analysis.
Ensure compliance by implementing new operating standards and procedures for
certain new businesses.
Perform regulatory research, policy and cost benefit analysis to support decision
making.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts on projects
requiring regulatory input.
Produce regular management and regulatory reports.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in Business, Accountancy,
Economics or Finance.
At least 5 to 8 years of working experience. Relevant experience in the energy
industry, telecommunications industry or similar would be advantageous.
Strong understanding of regulatory economics and/or a background in Audit will be
viewed favourably.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize, analyse, and
disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
Adept at responding to queries, report writing and presenting findings, with good
communication and business writing skills.
Strong in quantitative reasoning and skilled in numerical analysis.
Meticulous, self-motivated, resourceful and with a strong sense of initiative and
business acumen.
