Job description
Sales Manager for Japan market where the company has their unique positioning in transit and unattended payment device solutions.
Account Management & Development
Be the lead point of contact for matters specific to the assigned sales accounts.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with the sales account personnel.
Negotiate contracts and follow up towards closing of agreements.
Prioritize and plan the company’s work activities within the customer project scope and timeline.
Ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
Constantly explore new business opportunities or offer new business ideas to customers to expand mutual growth.
Forecast and track customer account metrics (eg. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
Ensure timely billings to customers.
Work closely with the Technical Support Manager in Japan to ensure the customer is supported fully in both commercial and technical matters.
New Business Development
Actively engage potential clients to update offerings, understand needs, and acquire market intelligence.
Win new clients by closely following up on actions to clients’ requests, including quotations, proposals, bids, orders, contracts, and specifications.
Coordinate with relevant teams within the company – project management, R&D, and operations – to ensure timely and satisfactory responses to customers.
Participate in trade shows and industry conferences to collect market intelligence and network with relevant industry players.
Requirements
Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree holder
Proficient in Business English
At least 3 years of experience in B2B sales or business development
Working experience in companies dealing with payment devices, payment systems, payment solution or retail technology
Experience in managing accounts of public transit operators (railway operators, bus operators), transit system integrators, large retail companies or banks
Familiar with the cashless payment landscape of Japan -- e-Money, credit card, QR payment
Experience working in a multinational company in Japan or dealing with overseas partners with regular use of English is an added advantage.
Highly self-motivated and independent, proactively takes initiative to learn and to find out answers
