
Job description
Focuses on identifying, testing, and mitigating security risks in automotive systems through hands-on lab-based activities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform security testing on vehicle systems (e.g., penetration testing, fuzzing, reverse engineering)
Identify vulnerabilities across hardware, firmware, and software layers
Develop and validate fixes for security issues
Build and maintain cybersecurity lab environments and tools
Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve security gaps
Research emerging threats and attack techniques
Develop automation tools to improve testing efficiency
Mentor junior engineers and support secure design practices
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field with at least 5 years of cybersecurity experience, preferably in automotive, embedded, or IoT environments
Strong hands-on experience in penetration testing, fuzzing, and vulnerability analysis
Solid understanding of embedded systems and operating systems such as Linux, QNX, or AUTOSAR
Knowledge of secure coding practices, cryptography, and relevant automotive security standards
Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, or Bash
Ability to work independently in a lab-based environment
Familiarity with automotive communication protocols and connected vehicle systems is advantageous
Relevant cybersecurity certifications are a plus
