Job description

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Tooling & Automation Engineering function, responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting tooling and automated equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role oversees tooling design, automation upgrades, equipment integration, NPI support, and CAPEX planning while managing a team of engineers and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure operational readiness and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Tooling & Automation Engineering team.

  • Improve tooling performance and resolve automation/equipment issues on production lines.

  • Drive design, prototyping, and implementation of new tooling and automation solutions.

  • Collaborate with OEMs and vendors on equipment upgrades and design changes.

  • Support NPI, equipment integration, and factory readiness activities.

  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and CAPEX for tooling and automation systems.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

  • Track KPIs and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or related field.

  • 10+ years’ experience with automated manufacturing equipment and automation systems.

  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, motion systems, sensors, controllers, and CAD.

  • Proven leadership experience in engineering or automation teams.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills
