Job description
To lead a team of technical staffs ( Analog and digital circuit designers ) in IP design or I.C. design projects, which may include the stages from circuit design from scratch till tape out.
To develop and design I.C. devices. Responsibilities include (where applicable):
Architectural and micro-architectural implementation
Analogue mixed signal (AMS) design and simulation
Design performance verification
Layout review
Guiding team members in solving major problems of an advanced complexity
Reviewing the design work of team members
Creating technical intellectual property such as patents and trade secrets
Establishing new design methodologies or improves existing processes
To document IP or I.C. Design and work procedures: Â Â
Design document generation and revision
Specification generation and revision
To provide training to junior engineers
Consultation on major technical issues
To interface with:
Other design groups on design project related issues
Fab, Test, Product Engineering to implement design fixes
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent 15 - 25 years of job experience in IC design
Added advantage:
A good knowledge and experience in layout / mask design and methodology
Exposure in logic design, VHDL coding and simulation
