
Job description
Define and implement customer-focused sourcing solutions; develop commodity strategies for current and future product roadmaps; lead cross-regional supplier strategies and site transfers; serve as the primary contact for sector commodity projects; create differentiated supply chain solutions to drive BD and revenue growth.
Build and maintain a high-value, sector-specific supplier base; partner with commodity managers to align and optimize supplier performance; ensure supplier capabilities meet technical requirements.
Work with design and engineering to identify lower-cost materials or assembly options; participate in design reviews to align sourcing with product goals; maintain gap analyses between design requirements and supplier capabilities; oversee customer qualification for new products.
 Develop pricing models for quotes, design support, and ramp-up; identify key parts for quarterly negotiations; guide cost analyses and quoting tools; monitor pricing trends and report to leadership and BD.
Build strong relationships with Business Unit leadership, Commodity Managers, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams; foster transparency, customer-centric thinking, and continuous improvement; align sector strategy with E&I leadership and corporate goals; promote open information exchange.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (technical field preferred).
Minimum eight years in sourcing, supply chain, or commodity management, preferably in a contract manufacturing environment.
Experience with data center infrastructure, large-form-factor sheet metal/frame assemblies, and L11 42U rack systems.
Equivalent combinations of education, training, or experience considered.
Deep understanding of materials, tooling, and processes for mechanical/electrical commodities (metal, plastic, packaging, hardware).
Proven track record developing supply chain strategies aligned with customer and BU needs.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and financial data.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentations to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP a plus).
Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
