Job description
We are seeking a experienced Memory Lead Engineer with expertise in emerging memory technologies such as MRAM, RRAM, PCM etc. As a Lead Memory Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and designing innovative memory solutions to meet the ever-increasing demands of modern electronic devices. Your role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including system architects, circuit designers, and process engineers to deliver cutting-edge memory solutions.
Specific Responsibilities
Research and analyze emerging memory technologies, including MRAM and RRAM etc to understand their characteristics, advantages, and limitations.
Collaborate with system architects and product teams to define memory requirements and specifications for various applications.
Design, simulate, and optimize memory circuits to meet performance, power, and area targets.
Develop custom memory cell designs, sense amplifiers, drivers, and peripheral circuits.
Conduct detailed circuit and system-level simulations to evaluate memory performance, stability, and reliability.
Work closely with process engineers to ensure proper integration of memory cells into the overall manufacturing process.
Collaborate with layout designers to implement custom memory circuits and review layout designs for adherence to design rules and guidelines.
Perform post-layout verification and work on design iterations for performance improvements.
Conduct thorough analysis of memory test data, identify issues, and propose design enhancements or process modifications.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements and industry trends in emerging memory technologies and contribute to technical discussions and brainstorming sessions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering or a related field. A master's or Ph.D. degree is preferred.
Proven experience in custom memory design and compliers, with a focus on emerging memory technologies such as MRAM and RRAM etc.
Strong understanding of memory architectures, including memory cells, sense amplifiers, drivers, and peripheral circuits.
Proficiency in industry-standard EDA tools for circuit simulation and design, such as TCAD, Cadence or Synopsys.
Knowledge of layout design principles and experience working closely with layout designers.
Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and integration challenges.
Ability to conduct detailed analysis and troubleshooting of memory test data.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing project priorities and meet tight deadlines.
