Job description

  • Report to SDSM Logistics to manage Malaysia import/export operations.

  • Develop and execute a robust trade compliance process including automate the Custom Reporting and Reconciliation Process; LMW and Sub-contract renew to prepare for any Custom/Government Authorization Audit

  • Collaborate with Global Trade Compliance (GTC), internal stakeholders (Legal, Site Finance, REO-Security, IT, etc. and logistics operations to ensure that that US, local Malaysia and other countries compliance requirements are implemented and maintained.

  • Manage the Local Trade Compliance Coordinator (LTCC) Program with Malaysia factories, logistic centers and hub operations to apply and continue Global Trade Operations initiatives that are as follow:

    • GTO training to LTCC to incorporate US, global and local Malaysia regulations into operational processes.

    • GTO & LTCC to work with stakeholders to perform Deemed Export Review for Foreign Hires, Specially Controlled Items tracking, Product Classification, Denial Parties Screening/ Shipment Transfer Approval (STA)

    • GTO & LTCC to work with stakeholders to setup Local Trade Operations community and Internal Compliance Program

    • Annual Self-assessment

  • Support WD C-TPAT supply chain certification awareness training, assessment and audit.

  • Advice and review shipment incoterms, Harmonized System (HS) Codes and Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) or Malaysia Strategic Export Control Code for Malaysia Shipment Transfer Approval (STA).

  • Review our appointed suppliers i.e. 3PLS, brokerage, forwarders and other vendors that support our Logistics Operations, together with stakeholders like Procurement and Security to ensure daily import/export operations requirements that comply to WD trade compliance commitment.

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management/ Trade Compliance or equivalent.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word/Excel /PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge ERP application such as Oracle/ SAP a plus.

  • Able to work independently.

  • Strong knowledge in Malaysia Custom Requirements.

  • Take initiative and work with oversea counterparts.


  • Minimum 15 years (8 Years for Analyst) of relevant in Logistics industry and well-versed in the different Malaysia agencies import/export license and operational processes for business/ logistics compliance.

  • Solid Knowledge on handling import/export process within Malaysia.

  • Experience with Malaysia Custom is preferable.
